Cookie Policy
Last updated: Mon Jul 20 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how xTools uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage on https://sastools.lovable.app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Our approach is minimal by design: we do not run advertising cookies, we do not use cross-site tracking, and we do not build behavioural profiles.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences. "Similar technologies" include local storage and session storage, which browsers expose to websites for the same purpose. Throughout this policy the word "cookies" refers to all of these.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary: required for the Service to load and function. These cannot be switched off. Preferences: remember your theme, favorite tools and last-used tool inputs so the Service feels consistent between visits. Analytics (optional): help us count aggregate visits and diagnose performance problems. They are anonymised and used only to improve the Service. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies.
3. Specific items stored
theme: your light or dark mode preference (local storage). xtools-favorites: the list of tool slugs you have marked as favorites (local storage). Tool inputs: a few tools save your last input to local storage so you can pick up where you left off. Hosting / security cookies: our platform may set a small session cookie needed to route your request and mitigate abuse; it contains no personal information about you.
4. Third-party content
The Service does not embed advertising networks. Some tools may on demand load resources from public content delivery networks or open APIs (for example, to fetch a font, an icon set, or public IP information you have requested). Those third parties may set their own cookies subject to their own policies.
5. How to control cookies
You can clear local storage and cookies at any time from your browser's site settings. Most browsers also let you block cookies by default or on a per-site basis. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Service to stop working. Clearing preferences will reset your theme and favorites list.
6. Do Not Track
We do not run behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking, so a Do Not Track signal has no additional effect on the Service. We honour the spirit of DNT in our default configuration.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
